We’re based in the Newcastle/Central Coast area of New South Wales, and offer an effective, efficient pick up & delivery service in our target area, plus a mail/courier service reaching all corners of Australia.

Basically, Memories on DVD restore your memories by upgrading your media.

Old movie film (8mm and 16mm, sound and silent) is carefully cleaned, digitally enhanced and transferred to a high quality DVD-R.   We’ll include easy-to-listen to background music if the film is silent, or, if sound, digitally clean and enhance the audio track and turn it into a stereo recording. Sound standard 8 film is rare, but we can digitally enhance those memories too.

35mm slides and old photos are also professionally scanned, digitally restored and placed either as a slideshow with music on a high quality DVD-R or CD/memory stick for your further use.    We use sophisticated software to digitally remove the dirt, dust and other gunk that may have accumulated on your slides over the years, and Photoshop all files to further enhance your investment.

Memories on DVD offer a special “This Is Your Life” presentation, with fireworks, photos/slides/videos and special music to celebrate the birthday or anniversary of someone special.    We create a personalised menu page as part of the presentation, together with a quality, personalised DVD cover and individual artwork for the DVDs. D & S Media Productions “This Is Your Life” programme has become one of our most popular projects.

Your old video tapes can be upgraded to DVD and housed in a special, personalised 8-disc boxed set – all compact – and all easy to enjoy again and again.   We’ll upgrade from most video formats – VHS, VHS-C, Hi-8, Mini DV and video cameras with built in hard-drive – PAL and NTSC.

We also digitally restore your old LPs and 45s – eliminating scratches, hum and hiss – before transferring them to CD or memory stick.    Got any old reel-to-reel audio tapes or cassettes lying around with taped messages between family members far apart?           Memories on DVD can digitally clean and enhance them before transferring to CD or memory stick.

We’ll even create special glossy colour CD and DVD covers by scanning the LP    cover or selecting images from your film, slides or video tapes!   We use the highest quality blank media, ensuring your memories last a lifetime.  All of our DVDs and CDs are professionally printed – none of this writing on the surface with marker-pens like some amateur operators.
